Wales man shot with crossbow, dies more than three weeks after attack.

A man shot with a crossbow outside his home more than three weeks ago has died, say police.

Gerald Corrigan died this morning as a result of the “horrendous” injuries he suffered in the incident at South Stack Road in Holyhead in Anglesey in the early hours of Friday, April 19.

In a statement, North Wales Police said: “Despite the best efforts of paramedics and the medical staff who have treated Gerald Corrigan, he has tragically died this morning as a result of the horrendous injuries he sustained after being shot with a crossbow bolt outside his home address.”

DCI Brian Kearney said: “This is a truly shocking case and our thoughts are with Gerald’s family and friends at this very sad time.

“The family continue to be supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.”

Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
